The Crease Sisters go to England

When I was 18 years old, I too was allowed to travel to England by myself. A few years later, my sisters Susan and Josephine also traveled to England.

My parents wished they too could go back to England and visit all the friends and family they left behind, but in those days it was very expensive. There were no airplanes to fly on like we can today. We had to travel by train and by boat!

Mother and father wanted us to meet the family we had in England. While in England, we visited our aunts, and uncles and cousins. We were able to see lots of great things, like museums, plays, and art galleries.

I was allowed to go to my first ball in England. Balls are fancy dances, and my Uncle John even bought me a beautiful dress to wear. We had many wonderful adventures in England, but eventually we returned to our home in Victoria.

For now, this is the end of our story. I hope you enjoyed learning a bit about us, the Crease Family, and what it was like living in Victoria back in colonial times. Just so you remember everyone in our family, use the forward button below to take a look at our family tree.
