Women in B.C. History

This gallery examines the role of women in the development of British Columbia. Women's contributions to family, social institutions, community, political and cultural development are highlighted.


Classroom Activities

  • Write a diary for a female of your age who is living in one of the following households: McClung, Stark, Schubert, Maynard or MacGill.

  • Illustrate the impact of technology on women's lives. Create a timeline of technological changes compared to a chart depicting the increased participation of women in education and the workforce.
